EVE is more than just a brand—it’s a deeply personal reflection of my journey as a designer and storyteller, inspired by my mother, Evangeline, and the vibrant heritage of African culture. Naming the brand after her honors her legacy of love, strength, and wisdom, values that are at the heart of EVE. This brand celebrates community, inclusivity, and storytelling, mirroring the qualities my mother embodied and the design philosophy I strive to live by.

The "Eve of Africa: Rooted Modernity" project is an extension of this vision, blending the rich traditions of the Himba people with the aspirations of modern design. Drawing inspiration from their earthy tones, red ochre symbolism, and deep connection to nature, I crafted a space that bridges heritage and contemporary aesthetics. Textures inspired by rocks and clay hues were integrated into the furniture and decor, symbolizing resilience and stability—qualities that have defined my personal and professional journey.

The design centers around collaborative spaces like the "Hive", designed for teamwork and creativity, and the "Coves", intimate spaces for reflection and focus. These areas embody my vision of unity in diversity, where people can connect, share ideas, and grow together. They represent not just functionality but the essence of what design means to me: fostering meaningful connections and celebrating shared stories.

This project marks a milestone in my career, showcasing my ability to balance tradition and modernity while crafting spaces that are inclusive, progressive, and inspiring. It reflects my personal growth and my mission to celebrate African heritage through design, creating a legacy that speaks to the boundless possibilities of creativity and cultural pride.
