This project celebrates the origins of South Africa by honouring the San people, the nation’s first inhabitants, whose cultural significance has often been overlooked. Despite their marginalisation, the San have profoundly influenced South Africa’s diverse heritage, with many tribes tracing their roots to Khoisan traditions.

Set in the culturally rich Richtersveld, the design expresses gratitude for the San's generosity in sharing their land and aims to preserve their identity and contributions. Initial challenges with AI briefings, due to limited knowledge, led me to conduct extensive research into the San people and the site.

The project became a thoughtful tribute to the San’s enduring legacy, blending research and design to emphasise the importance of honouring and preserving indigenous cultures for future generations.
